West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had a minor accident on Saturday when she slipped and fell while trying to take her seat after boarding a helicopter in Durgapur. According to reports from ANI, the chief minister was assisted by her security personnel, and she proceeded with her scheduled travel to Asansol to address an election rally.

Visuals shared by news agency ANI captured the moment when Mamata Banerjee was attempting to sit inside the helicopter but lost her balance during the process.

A senior officer accompanying Mamata Banerjee stated, "The CM fell inside the helicopter after losing her balance while she was trying to sit. She is fine."

This incident comes weeks after Mamata Banerjee suffered a serious injury at her residence in Kolkata on March 14. At that time, she experienced a fall and sustained injuries to her forehead and nose, requiring hospitalization for several hours.

Following her injury in March, there was some confusion and speculation over the circumstances of her fall. Initially, a hospital director mentioned a "push from behind" but later clarified that this was a misinterpretation and referred to a sensation of being pushed.

During this period, senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari made remarks that were perceived as mocking Mamata Banerjee's injury, triggering controversy and condemnation from the ruling TMC party. The remarks were criticized for reflecting an anti-women mindset.

Despite these incidents, Mamata Banerjee has continued her political engagements, including addressing election rallies, as part of her ongoing campaign efforts in West Bengal.
