NEET TOPPER

SILIGURI NEWS: Saksham Agarwal, a student from Siliguri, has made headlines by ranking among the top in the prestigious national medical entrance exam, NEET. Born in Madhurpura, Bihar, Saksham moved to Siliguri in the sixth grade. He studied at a CBSE board school in Dagapur and later attended Nirmal Vidyajyoti School for his higher secondary education.

Saksham's favorite subject is physics, but his dream is to become a successful doctor. He achieved a perfect score of 720 in NEET, sharing this achievement with two other students from West Bengal. Saksham's father, Chetan Agarwal, is an anesthesiologist working at a nursing home, and his mother, Maya Kumari, is a homemaker. The family currently resides in a suburb of Matigara.

Balancing his school studies with NEET preparation was a challenging task for Saksham. He enrolled in a coaching center for NEET while continuing his regular school education. Juggling both was tough, requiring late-night study sessions and full-day preparations whenever he had free time from school. Saksham believes that hard work is the key to success.

Reflecting on his success, Saksham emphasizes the importance of consistent revision. “You have to regularly review old chapters while learning new ones to avoid forgetting. Discipline is crucial,” he says. To manage his rigorous study schedule, Saksham often set aside six to seven hours daily for studying at home. His dedication and hard work have made his school proud.

During his preparation, Saksham avoided distractions such as reading novels or watching movies. He also stayed away from social media. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing football, badminton, and table tennis.

Saksham's father, Chetan Agarwal, is proud of his son's achievements. He hopes that Saksham will one day help people as a doctor. Saksham aspires to study at AIIMS in Delhi and is currently preparing for this next step in his educational journey.
