MALBAZAR NEWS: puzzling situation unfolded in Malbazar involving a young man from Bangladesh who arrived to meet a local girl. Instead of a romantic rendezvous, this visit led to legal complications as the girl left her home with him without her family's knowledge.
This story began a few months ago when the young man and woman connected on social media and developed a romantic relationship. The young man proposed marriage and suggested taking the girl to Bangladesh. The girl agreed and obtained a passport and visa to enter India legally.
On Monday, the young man arrived in Malbazar from Bangladesh to meet the girl. The girl then left her home without telling her family and went away with him. When her family couldn't find her, they reported her missing to the Meteli Police Station on Tuesday.
Responding to the complaint, the police detained the young woman and the Bangladeshi youth near Malbazar Super Specialty Hospital and brought them to Malbazar Police Station. The police have started questioning the young man. However, the girl's family suspects that the young man's intentions might involve human trafficking disguised as a romantic relationship. They claim that he has been married three times before, which raises concerns.
The incident attracted attention in the area around Kalchak More, causing a large crowd and traffic disruptions. Police vehicles are stationed on both sides of the road. The police are refraining from commenting further until they complete their investigation into the matter.
